16th July 2022: Three phase Electric loco simulation and training centre at the Centre of Excellence in Rourkela was inspected by Shri. Om Prakash Kesaria with vast experience from RDSO (Research Design and Standards Organization) , Lucknow. RDSO is an ISO 9001 research and development organisation under the Ministry of Railways of government of India, which functions as a technical adviser and consultant to the Railway Board, the Zonal Railways and the Railway Production Units in respect of design and standardization of railway equipment and problems related to railway construction, operations and maintenance. The Centre of Excellence at Rourkela includes two Loco simulators (Variants with E70 and CCB Braking) along with other training software supplied by C.C Engineers. He appreciated the use of the facility extremely useful for Loco pilots especially in trouble shooting and handling emergency situations.
